Weekend snaps.

I’m trying to make an effort to take more photos on the weekends; after all, they only come around once a week, and give a different vibe.

Photos from Memorial Day Weekend: the weekend the L wasn’t running, the weekend hot soba was enjoyed in a cramped Japanese hole-in-the-wall, and the weekend of cronut success, Thai iced tea, and lazy hours in a sunny Washington Square Park.

Was lucky enough to have a photoshoot for in this building yesterday.

It was for a Serious Eats review, and a food photographer’s dream: no gawking passerby, courteous and brisk service, an abundance of natural light.

I need to shoot more MF; it’s good for me.

My desk has become a verdant forest of blooming flowers, wispy tendrils, and aromatic herbs. 

It’s about the most therapeutic thing one can look through first thing in the morning.

For cream of mushroom soup, you will need:

shallots

a variety of mushrooms

and plenty of thyme.
