The good vibes and great coffee were definitely worth the trek out here.

One at Gasoline Alley Coffee on Bleeker St., the other at Joe’s in Union Square.
Favorite espresso drink: the cortado, aka the gibraltar.
A little less that 2 ounces of espresso, a little more than 2 ounces of milk: almost a one-to-one ratio.
You can taste both the milk and the espresso; this drink makes you slow down and enjoy the sweet balance of things.
The visual appeal is also nice.

Highly recommended by a well-trusted friend and coffee-drinker, but I’m not quite sure this place was worth the trek. However, all drinks (save the cortado) were served in robin’s egg blue ceramic, and the barista was very nice.
