Oh, the irony.

At the revealing of some famous person’s book at Kyobo Bookstore.

Found this store in Itaewon yesterday: “Foreign Book Store”

It was one of the places you thought only existed in stories.

Books were crammed into every available space of the tiny store, lining the walls from floor to ceiling. Books on books on books, teetering in tall piles and perched precariously next to each other. Books of every genre were stacked together, without discrimination for how old they were or if they were used or new.

It was amazing.

Kyobo is a huge bookstore chain in Korea; think Barnes & Noble but sleeker and cleaner. The one in Gangnam is so huge, it’s overwhelming. But you can still spot dozens of people making themselves comfortable with different books in every nook and cranny of the store.
